Meet Elinor Goldberg, 2019 Giraffe Award Winner

Each week leading up to the Champions for Children Luncheon on November 7th, we will feature a profile of a 2019 Giraffe Award Winner and showcase how they “stick out their neck” for Maine children, youth and families. This week, we are pleased to introduce you to Elinor Goldberg, former Executive Director of the Maine Children's Alliance.

A woman in a white shirt is smiling in front of a pile of logsElinor Goldberg was the founding Executive Director of the Maine Children's Alliance, and retired in 2011. For 17 years, Ellie led MCA in public policy to improve the lives of children and families in Maine. During her tenure at MCA, she was awarded various national and state awards for her leadership and advocacy.

Elinor Goldberg  will be awarded the 2019 Director's Award for her important role in the formation and success of children's advocacy through her work at the Maine Children's Alliance, on November 7th at our Champions for Children celebration.
