Healing Through Connection and Support

Support Groups & Counseling

At Halcyon Home in Thomasville, GA, our support groups and counseling services give survivors a safe and understanding place to share their experiences, rebuild confidence, and find emotional strength. Each session is guided by trained advocates who help women process trauma, set goals, and discover a renewed sense of hope.

How Our Support Groups Help Survivors

Support groups offer survivors a chance to connect with others who understand what they’ve been through. These small, confidential gatherings focus on healing, empowerment, healthy relationships, and building a strong support system.

Community and Long-Term Healing

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Our support groups encourage survivors to stay connected, build healthy relationships, and continue learning about personal safety and emotional wellness.

Individual Counseling for Emotional Wellness
  • Alongside group sessions, Halcyon Home provides one-on-one counseling with advocates trained in trauma-informed care. Counseling helps survivors navigate emotions, regain confidence, and build coping skills that support long-term recovery. These sessions are free and tailored to each woman’s unique needs.
Support for Children and Families
  • Domestic violence affects the whole family, which is why we offer emotional support and age-appropriate guidance for children. Our child advocacy program helps young survivors understand their feelings, build resilience, and regain a sense of safety.
